DJ with KQNY

Did you know that no previous experience is necessary in order to be a DJ on KQNY?  We welcome anyone who might be interested in hosting a show on KQNY to contact us to learn more. Below is the show proposal and training process.

1. Anyone wishing to host a show on the station must contact the Station Manager to receive a show proposal request.  Show proposals must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed by the Station Manager.
   
2. When a proposed show is approved, the new DJ/host will work with a trainer to become familiar with station policies and to learn to operate the station’s equipment and deliver a radio program.
   
3. When the trainer believes that the trainee is ready to host a show independently, a time slot will be assigned.
   
4.  In some cases, further on-air mentoring may be required at the discretion of the trainer.
