Underwrite KQNY
Underwriting KQNY costs $50 per month and includes 15 - 20 spots a week.
Our broadcast license from the FCC classifies KQNY as a “non-commercial, educational FM station,” which means, among many other things, that we’re not permitted to sell advertising time. For example, we are not permitted to:
- Issue any overt calls to action, such as “come on down,” “shop locally,” “we’ll see you here,” or any other language that encourages listeners to patronize any specific business or take any other kind of action.
- Issue any implied calls to action such as “everyone’s favorite restaurant,” “healthcare for the whole family,” or “for all your garden needs.”
- Announce any prices, even if the goods or services are, for example, “40% off,” or “free,” because these are considered prices by the FCC.
- Use any qualitative language such as “delicious food,” “artistic craftsmanship,” or “cozy cottages.”
However, we are permitted to:
- Describe your business or organization in non-qualitative, factual terms.
- State what goods or services you provide.
- Provide location and contact information including web addresses.
- Mention how long you’ve been in business.
